The bottle was carved from an old bamboo root stump in flattened form with a small neck. It is smoothly polished. The neck is narrow and flares out. The opening is wide and the inside well hollowed. The oval raised foot ring is concave, not flat. This flattened shape harks back to bottles produced during the Qianlong and Yongzheng periods. Dating is circa 1920's. The dimensions are 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. The total weight of the bottle is .7 ounce or 19.8 grams.
