Many similar shaped teapots were made around the turn of the 20 century for the world expositions that took place in famous cities in Europe and in North America. This is an unusually small teapot with a rich zisha stoneware clay. The theme of the teapot is the Three Friends of Winter, pine bamboo and plum blossom. The teapot is 5 inches long and 3.75 inches high. There is a 4 character square impressed seal "zhou ji ming hu" - 周記名壺 famous teapots from Zhou Ji. The active dating for Zhou Ji is 1900's to 1930's.
CONDITION
In good condition except for a hairline crack on the tree branch. It is visible from the images
