The snuff bottle carver had fun with this agate bottle. He made good use of the stone by doing a cameo carving of a fisherman with a basket standing in a boat on a river. That was one side, and the other side showed lovely bands of white striations running through the light yellow agate. The bottle has a flattened oblong shape that tapers slightly towards the base ending in a wide raised oval foot. The short straight neck has a concave top. The snuff bottle cap is made of green adventurine with a black collar, wood stopper and bone spoon. It closes the bottle with a snap - sign of a well made cap.
